Office Receptionist & Administrative Support

We are looking for an Office Receptionist & Administrative Assistant to join our busy school office team. This is a key role at the heart of our school, supporting pupils, parents, staff, and visitors every day.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Friendly, approachable, and professional with excellent communication skills.
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities/interruptions, and great attention to detail.
  • Confident using IT systems. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams is essential, whilst knowledge of Arbor and ParentMail are desirable but not essential as training will be given.
  • A team player who can work calmly under pressure in a busy environment.
  • Experience working in a school would be beneficial.
  • You should be supportive of the Christian ethos of the school.

Key Responsibilities

As the first point of contact, you will:

  • Greet and assist parents, visitors, and pupils with professionalism and warmth.
  • Manage daily attendance, pupil registers, absence calls, and late arrivals.
  • Oversee sign-in/out systems for pupils, staff, and visitors.
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and ParentMail communications.
  • Liaise with the kitchen on daily school meal numbers.
  • Support staff and pupils with requests, appointments, and general office tasks.

Alongside daily duties, you will also:

  • Update school calendars and noticeboards.
  • Maintain pupil records and databases (Arbor/ParentMail).
  • Process admissions, leavers, and attendance reports.
  • Assist with administration of clubs, tournaments, assemblies, and whole-school events.
  • Manage school uniform stock and liaise with supplier.
  • Provide hospitality at school events and welcome sessions.
  • Support safeguarding and emergency procedures when required.

Job Term:   Grade 2 Point 3.  Part Time (24.5 hours per week*), 38 weeks per year

  • Monday 8.30am to 1pm
  • Tuesday 8.30am to 1pm
  • Wednesday 8.30am to 3pm
  • Thursday 8.30am to 1pm
  • Friday 8.30am to 3pm      

Appointment Type:      Permanent, required from September 2025, ideally

Cycle Tour passes School

The staff were delighted to cheer on the Cycle Tour of Britain as it sped past the school.

Hopefully many of the children saw it shoot through Framlingham on the last day of their summer break!
