Class Teacher KS2
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated class teacher to join our school team in KS2.
Required from January 2026
Framlingham Sir Robert Hitcham’s CEVAP is a popular, well-resourced school with 320 children in the delightful market town of Framlingham. We are proud of our dedicated staff and governors, our enthusiastic and motivated pupils, and our wide range of extra-curricular activities that enrich the learning experience.
Main purpose of the role
To provide high quality teaching and learning to a KS2 class, ensuring pupils make excellent progress, are inspired to learn, and are supported in their personal development within a Christian ethos.
The job will entail
Delivering engaging lessons, assessing pupil progress, creating a stimulating classroom environment, and working collaboratively as part of the KS2 team to contribute to the wider life of the school.
Your responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess high-quality lessons across the KS2 curriculum
- Provide a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
- Maintain high expectations of behaviour and achievement
- Work in partnership with colleagues, parents and carers
- Take responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils, following school policies and statutory guidance

Personal attributes
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated practitioner who is able to meet the following criteria:
- Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and excellent classroom practice
- The ability to create a positive and stimulating learning environment
- A passion for children’s learning and high expectations of all pupils
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- An understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and commitment to pupil welfare
- Commitment to supporting the Christian ethos of the school
