School Re-Opening Announcement

Following the Prime Minister sharing his plans for the gradual easing of lock-down restrictions this week I am certain that you were as excited as we were, to hear of the plans to fully open Primary Schools to all children on 8th March. We are now able to look forward to our whole school family returning together.

The Secretary of State for Education notes that the decision to ease restrictions is made on a balance of risk to public health and educational considerations. He has made schools aware that they must follow the usual rules and duties around school attendance and that all the systems of controls put in place in the school, including appropriate ventilation, must be followed by everyone.

During this week the Senior Leadership team will be working tirelessly –yet again- to develop protocols and procedures for children, staff, families and visitors to return to school in a safe and measured way. These we will share with you as soon as we are able, however in advance we request your ongoing support and patience as we try to facilitate a calm, smooth and safe return for all children.

Keep safe and well

Icicles

Some very impressive icicles formed in the Reflective Garden over the last few days of freezing temperatures.

Icy Pavements

Please be aware that the pavements around school on College Road and New Road are thick with slippery ice.

Our school paths have been cleared and gritted by our school caretaker - who has used the snow to make a school snowman to greet the keyworker children!

Please take care!
