This week year 5 explored how electrical circuits are represented using symbols. These symbols are a simple way to show components like batteries, bulbs, and switches in a diagram. Learning these symbols helps us read and draw circuits accurately, just like scientists and engineers do. Next, we’ll use these symbols to draw and make our own circuit.

In Maths, Class AL used trundle wheels to measure perimeters inside and outside the school, taking turns to steer, count clicks and record the distances. The children really enjoyed working together and seeing how Maths appears in the real world!
We all enjoyed a fabulous concert yesterday courtesy of County Music Service (CMS).
A huge thank you to the four talented instrumental teachers who inspired, entertained and informed us about woodwind, brass and percussion instruments.
It was fantastic, thank you County Music for this opportunity.
Our Nursery can take children from the beginning of the term following their third birthday. Children may have up to five terms of free part-time early learning with us before they join the Reception class. In addition, we have a chargeable lunch club that runs until 1.30pm. Nursery children may have a school dinner or bring a packed lunch.
If your child is due to start in Reception next September, please do not miss the application deadline of 15 January 2026.
