Return to School in 2021

We would like to confirm that school will start again on 4 January as planned, and we look forward to welcoming all the children back on Monday morning.

Given the rise in cases across the county we ask parents to continue to follow guidance in keeping our school community safe. Please maintain 2m social distancing and wear a mask when on school grounds, only one adult per family to drop off or pick up, and please exit the school site as quickly as possible. Thank you for your ongoing support with this.

We welcome the new year with hope that by working together, we can make 2021 a better year for us all.

Santa Visit

Our younger children were delighted today to receive a visit from Father Christmas.

He surprised classes CH, KM, KB & JT this morning, ringing his bell, having a little chat with the whole class and leaving a little treat for them all before he went on his way.

Sadly he wasn't able to visit all the other classes, as he has a lot of work to do before Christmas Eve, but he has left treats with the teachers to give out to all the children.

Happy Christmas everyone!

Behind You! The Panto comes to school!

We wish to say a great big thank you to the Friends for funding a live streamed Pantomime for all the children in school.

All the classes have been watching a live streamed version of 'Cinderella' either yesterday or today.

They have thoroughly enjoyed it - and we can hear their laughter along the corridors...

... oh, yes we can!

Celebration of the Christmas Story

We are delighted with our Celebration of the Christmas Story which has been sent to parents via a private link to view today.

The Nativity Story is brilliantly performed by the children in Foundation and Key Stage 1 and is accompanied by beautifully sung Christmas Carols from Key Stage 2.  We are delighted with the results.  The children have thoroughly enjoyed watching the ‘Premiere’ in school today.

Grateful thanks to Mrs Christie for her hard work in filming and editing to create this wonderful 30 minute video.  We'd love to hear any WOW! comments if you've had a chance to view it.

Please also view the website gallery for a collection of still images from the filming.

Christmas Tree Festival at St Michael's Church

The children in classes CH & KM (Reception) have created some beautiful star decorations in support of the Christmas Tree Festival at St Michael's Church.

Many local community groups have decorated a tree as part of this annual event, so do visit the church to see our tree and the many other wonderfully decorated trees between now and Christmas.

The scene is set...

Filming Underway

The weather put a bit of a dampener on the Nativity filming schedule today ... so we had a few soggy stars, some rather drenched angels, a class of soaked carolers and a very dripping donkey - but they are all still smiling!

Decorating our Tree

Some of our Year 6 pupils helped to decorate the school Christmas tree in the office reception area this afternoon...

Great job!

Christmas Hampers - All Wrapped Up!

What an amazing job the Friends have done this morning!

They have wrapped 27 simply stunning hampers ready for their annual  fundraising Christmas Hamper Draw.

This year, because we are using an online raffle draw company to manage the ticket sales and draw, we cannot make dedicated class hampers. Instead, they have created many more hampers so there will be a whopping 27 winners across the school when the draw is made on 16 December, with hopefully at least one winner from each class.

Take a look on the website gallery for more photos of the hampers.

Keep an eye out tomorrow, for the link to the raffle ticket site to buy your winning ticket - you can forward the link to your friends and family to buy tickets this way.

Huge thanks to Kelly, Tom, Jo, Gary, Tracey, Fiona, Laura & Laura's mum for the fantastic wrapping.
