Waste Watchers

On Thursday, Big Bubble Theatre transformed our KS1 children into 'Waste Watchers'. To support the introduction of our new text 'Stella and the Seagull', we were taught about plastic pollution and taking care of the Earth. Remember to REDUCE, RECYCLE and REUSE!

Friday was World Environment Day, this year the focus was on lowering the impact on our environment, so KS1 children took to the playground to limbo, encouraging them to think about how they can reduce their environmental impact.

Come along to the pavilion on the front playground at the end of school today to pick up a fabulous sweet treat!

School Quiz Night - 7 May at the Railway Pub, Framlingham

Gather your friends and come along to the Railway pub to enjoy a fun night out, while raising funds for Friends of Sir Robert Hitcham's CEVAP school.

Easter Treats!

Classes KHLH & JT have been baking for today's Cake Stall after school.

Come along to pick up some delicious looking treats.

We are Rockin' it!

The whole school have enjoyed two days of very interactive, energetic and fun workshops using body rhythms with the brilliant Bassistry Arts music group.  

We learnt a range of original songs along with movement and dance and also explored the drum kit, various percussion instruments covering a wide range of styles, such as Latin, African and Caribbean & Popular Music.  

These Bassistry drum & bass workshops have been funded through the wonderful support that parents have given to the Friends fundraising efforts this year - so thank you to all involved.

THANK YOU TO THE FRIENDS!

We are so grateful to our Friends for their incredible generosity in supporting the school.  Thanks to them, we now have:

·         An inspirational author visit

·         Bassistry Arts 2-day drum & bass workshops

·         Helmets for the children using ride-on toys

·         A gazebo for Nursery for outdoor activities

·         A sunshade for nursery to keep the children cool

·         A Bluetooth speaker for each class

·         Large outdoor clocks for both playgrounds

·         Robust iPad cases for our new iPads

·         Hatching chicks

There are many other projects in the works, and we simply couldn’t provide all these amazing experiences and resources without the support of our Friends. Fundraising is only possible thanks to the help of parents, carers, and the wider community, and we are truly grateful for everyone who contributes.

Let's Glow Crazy Disco

The Friends of Sir Robert Hitcham's are excited to host another Let’s Glow Crazy School Disco.

Tickets are £4.00  and will be available via ParentMail from this Friday 27 February at 3:30pm.

KS2 usually sells out within 2-3 hours - so please be quick to secure a ticket.

Thank you to all our wonderful families that donated Christmas foods, drinks & gifts for the Friends to make up 24 fantastic Christmas Hampers ready for the draw in December.

The Friends have been busy collecting, packing, wrapping & labelling this morning - thank you to the team for all their hard work!

Raffle tickets are on sale through the shop section of ParentMail, please do pick them up before the deadline on Tues 16 December.

Draw takes place on Weds 17 December - winners will be notified by the Friends, to collect your hampers before the end of term.

FRIDAY 7 NOVEMBER at 8.45am in the school hall for a 9am start.

All parents and carers are invited to come along to hear from the Friends about their fundraising and social events for families and the children.
New members are warmly invited to join this fun and active group of parents, who are brilliant at running fun events for everyone to enjoy which have the bonus of making some money for school projects and resources.
Please be part of the team as your input is invaluable.
