Today it was MB's turn to invite parents in for a 'Easter wreath making' craft session! It was so lovely to see all the different variations and imagine that went into making them. The session ended with the children eating a chocolate nest that they made earlier on. Thank you to all the parents that came, it was lovely to see so many of you.

Last Supper Art
Ahead of the Easter Holidays, Class MS and KV's Year 4s looked at Leonardo da Vinci's 'The Last Supper' painting. We discussed the significance of the Last Supper event and who was present with Jesus to dine together.
We then recreated 'The Last Supper' as a piece of three-dimensional art.

Full of the joys of Spring!!
Congratulations to everyone for their efforts in donating so much money for the “loose change” challenge where a staggering £874.45 was raised by the whole school. Due to the exceptional amount that was raised, and as agreed with the ‘Friends’, the whole school enjoyed an extra-long break altogether on the field and enjoyed the warm spring air, playing with brothers and sisters, making daisy chains and enjoying the Spring sunshine.

Class JT Easter Share Session
First,
the children recited the Spring poem they have learnt this term to which they
received a well-earned round of applause.
After a morning of Easter baking, the children couldn't wait to share their bakes and decorate some biscuits. We made sure to use Fairtrade ingredients wherever possible.
The children decorated palm leaf crosses with
beads and a tag, and completed the session by sharing Easter story books with
their families.
It was lovely to have so many visitors in the class sharing in the children's creativity, activities and most of all the cake!
Bug Hotel Building in Class HHMBr
Many congratulations to the Class HHMBr family as they made their plans of a mini beast hotel a reality.
There was a fantastic atmosphere
throughout the afternoon and incredible team work to build the structures.
We were blessed with good weather
which meant we could use the Gilder Garden. To end our time together our
families really enjoyed our rendition of ‘Frozen’.
Thank you to everyone involved
and the fabulous feedback we received.

House Singing Competition
We started the afternoon watching Class KV performing “Standing tall” which they have been working on with Megan Peel this term and we all enjoyed listening to this.
After this we then held our exciting house singing
competition which was kindly judged by Rev Chris Davey and Megan Peel; both said
it was not an easy decision at all. Each house sang their own version of “Let
it go” and then each of the four houses chose another Disney song. Hitchams sang “Bippety, bippety boo”; Bulstrode
performed “Bare Necessities”; Mills gave a great rendition of “You’ve got a
friend in me” and the winning house Howard performed “Under the Sea”. Howard performed their version of ‘Let it go’
in the acapella style too.
Well done to all the teachers and children for the effort in
the rehearsals. The hall was resounding with the singing and every child showed so much happiness
and joy when performing.
Bikeability
Thanks once again to the Suffolk RoadSafe team for their excellent Bikeability training session to our Year 5/6 pupils.
The children have completed their two days intensive training. During the training they learnt how to look after their bicycles, spent time learning key cycling & indicating skills on the playground, spent a day and a half on the roads around the school in Framlingham. By the end of the course, the children will have gained confidence on the roads and learnt the skills needed to become safe cyclists.
There will be further Bikeability training in September for next year's Year 5 & 6.
