Class DB enjoy creative Share Session

Class DB had a great turnout of parents for a sculpture Share Session.
Laurence Edwards (a professional sculptor) was invited in to lead the workshop on Inuit Engraving.

The Inuit people create carving / engravings from discarded Walrus tusks and whale teeth.
Laurence prepared imitation ivory out of plaster and demonstrated the engraving technique used by the Inuit. The plaster is then painted and washed to show up the markings.

The results were amazing.
Laurence encouraged us to engrave anything to do with our own lives.
