We started the morning by searching the wood for animals and recording whether we thought they hibernated or not. We learnt a lot about our woodland animals including baby animal names, whether they are nocturnal or diurnal, what they eat and their shelter names.
Some children attempted to light their own fairy fire, lots of perseverance and patience was needed.
Lots of free play was accessed throughout the morning including the children using their imagination to transform a stick.
Here are some of the fantastic spider webs that the children have made and are now decorating our shelter.
We finished with the children sitting quietly in their own space reflecting on the morning.
