Kite Flying Class KM
Making
the most of the glorious Autumnal weather today, Class KM tested out their
beautiful kites on the field and looked for Autumn treasures. Sometimes, when
we tried to fly the kites amongst the trees, we had to work out how to untie
the kite strings as they got tangled up in the trees.
We made
kites as someone suggested in our phonics lesson that kites start with k and
perhaps we could make some…
The
skills we developed when making them were numerous. We learnt how to fold
complicated folds, print using rollers and leaves and follow instructions.

Anglo Saxon Houses
In
these photos you can see some of the amazing Anglo-Saxon houses constructed by
children in class PL, which include realistic features such as thatch, wattle
and daub. You are welcome to visit our classroom to see all the houses which
have been made.
Anglo-Saxon bread-making
In
class PL we have followed a traditional Anglo-Saxon recipe to make bread. The
Anglo-Saxons grew wheat, barley and rye, which could be used to make flour. Our
bread contained rye flour and also flax seeds and honey, to make it more
authentic.

District Schools Cross-Country
The annual district cross-country race took place this morning at Framlingham College with about 400 children from 10 schools taking part across various age groups.
The weather was good but it was very wet and muddy underfoot - perfect cross-country conditions!
Any runner finishing in the top 10 in their age group goes through to a regional final.
We had 19 children qualify.
Any runner in the first 3 received a medal.
The races also doubled up as our inter-house team competition.
Howard (above) were the winning team with Hitcham 2nd , Mills 3rd and Bulstrode 4th.
Well done to all 79 runners from SRH Framlingham.
A special thanks to all the Framlingham parents for helping around the course and at the finishing line. Thanks also to Mr Byer for some of the action photos.
