FOREST SCHOOL
CLASS KM -WEEK 1
Class KM enjoyed their first morning at Robin Wood. After discussing the Golden rules we had a look around the wood spotting hazards and discovering the different areas available. We discovered a basket hidden in a tree with a special treat inside and a letter asking the children to promise to look after the woodland. The children played and explored the woodland during the rest of the morning enjoying the mud kitchen, digging area, balancing on the slack line, bug finding, and investigating the loose parts area.

FOREST SCHOOL
WEEK 6 - CLASS LH
Unfortunately due to the gusty winds today we had to make the decision not to go in to Robin Wood.
So we decided to make some wind socks in the classroom and then take up to the field to try out. The children were able to link this back to some learning they did in September about how wind is measured. After a good run around the children lay in the grass and listened to the wind. We then went back to class and discussed how we could look after woodlands and how we could remember Robin Wood. We got in to pairs and made a bracelet by winding two pieces of wool around each other, it was quite tricky but with some perseverance and a little help the children each made a lovely friendship bracelet.
