Today, class VW have been very busy cracking on with their learning.
As mathematicians, we are consolidating our Place Value knowledge and have begun rounding numbers to a required degree of accuracy with some children working with numbers in the ten and hundred millions.
As musicians, we have started our ‘Advancing Rhythms’ and looked at pulse and rhythm, with the children clapping various rhythms and even improvising their own, incorporating different layers.
During our English lesson, we have started reading the text ‘Romeo and Juliet’ which has proved interesting on different levels, particularly with the language. After reading Act 1, scene 1, the children have begun creating profiles for a chosen character.
