Snapshot of learning in VW
Class
VW have come back to school with a fantastic work- ethic. Here are some of the
things we've been getting up to in class:
Topic
KS2
have commenced a new topic, Gods and Mortals. With this, we used the computers
to complete a comparative study of the human and physical geography of Greece
and the UK. They compared aspects such as climate, active volcanoes, mountains,
etc.
English
As
the class get closer to the statutory SATs tests in May, we've been looking at
how we carefully structure 3-mark questions on 'impressions', making sure we
collect suitable evidence from the text to help us with this.
Maths
We've
been investigating shape and the sum of interior angles in polygons such as
pentagons, hexagons, etc. the children have been successfully 'splitting' these
shapes into triangles and using this information to assist them.
