FRIENDS FAMILY GAMES NIGHT – Friday 24 September
Just a reminder that we are having another Bingo and Beetle Drive Event on Friday 24 September, the evening is great fun for both children and adults As well as a licenced bar, there will be a tuck shop for children. The games are played for prizes. Tickets can be ordered via the letter sent out at the start of term – more copies available at the office.

SCHOOL TIMES
Please may we remind parents that children can put their bags and coats on their pegs from 8.30am in the morning and then go out to the supervised front playground. Children should not arrive in school before 8.30am. The bell goes at 8.45am for the children to make their way to class for registration.

LEAVING THE SCHOOL PREMISES AFTER THE START OF SCHOOL
It is really important to us that our pupils settle happily and quickly at the start of school. Learning activities and the register start immediately at 8.50am. Could we ask parents to vacate the premises as soon as possible after the school bell indicates the beginning of lessons at the start of the school day. If parents stay in the activity areas, corridors, or playground the children find it harder to settle.

LABELLING CLOTHES AND PAINTING APRONS
May I take this opportunity to remind you that ALL uniform, especially sweatshirts, painting aprons, plimsolls etc need to be named – Thank you.
All children in the school require painting aprons, from Nursery up to Year 6. An old large shirt is ideal but please do make sure the sleeves are not too long.

WATER BOTTLES
Please can we remind parents that the water bottles the children use at school MUST have a ‘Sports Cap’ (non-leak) on them. We are finding that books/work are being damaged by leaking bottles in book-bags and classrooms.

VOLUNTEER HELPERS 2010/2011
Thank you to all the volunteer helpers who have already registered with us this year.
Some classes have had no parent volunteers yet, so we have a number of sessions where help is required. Below are the days/times where your help would be appreciated. Volunteer help is a very important part of school life and if you feel able to help at any time, not just with any of the sessions below, we would be very pleased to hear from you.
To help in school you do need to complete a Volunteer Declaration form so we can apply for a ‘List 99 Check’. If you have not previously completed one, or wish to check if your name is already on the list, please contact the school office. If you have not seen ‘A Guide for Adults Helping in School’ they are available from the school office.
If you are able to cover one of the sessions overleaf please speak to the class teacher.
