The second part of the year 6 trip to London was a visit to the British Museum.
We concentrated on seeing 6 main areas of history:
The Sutton Hoo treasure - above and below
The Rosetta Stone
Egyptian treasures
The Parthenon Statues
Roman Britain - featuring 3 lots of treasure found in Suffolk: The Mildenhall treasure, the Hoxne Hoard and the head of Emperor Claudius - found in the River Alde in Rendham in 1907 by 2 Suffolk schoolboys.
Aztec treasures from Mexico
We also saw some other interesting items such as the original Beetle car from the Herbie films
