Class LH busy building beach huts!

Following our successful trip to Southwold, and studying the beach huts along the sea front, we were able to gather some ideas and designed and created our own beach huts.

After the planning stage, we carefully used the saw to cut the wood on a saddle. We measured the length of each edge of the cube and the stuck them together using the glue gun. Some of us decorated the sides using stripes to represent the colourful wooden shiplap on the huts.

As the process continued, some of the children wanted to add in stilts, balconies, fences at the front and steps.  There was a HUGE amount of problem solving and working out the best way to do things.  Mrs Hall and Mrs Morgan were super impressed with the way the children helped each other, found out solutions to their issues and worked collaboratively together to find solutions.

Well done Class LH on some super designs - you have worked really hard making your beach huts.
