This week, we are celebrating all things related to maths!
On Monday, Miss Whipps kicked off the week by introducing some thought-provoking ideas and setting an exciting challenge for the students: to create a maths investigation involving Jelly Babies! She offered a few suggestions, such as counting the different colours, creating bar charts, scaling, and working with fractions, decimals, and percentages.
Throughout the week, students are encouraged to share their ideas with Miss Whipps as they explore the challenge.
We’ve also been learning about influential mathematicians like Florence Nightingale, who revolutionised data presentation, and Katherine Johnson, whose groundbreaking work in space exploration helped make history in Space science.
On Friday, we will come together as a whole school to share everything we’ve discovered and learned throughout the week.
