Last week MB had their share session. All the children and adults had fun making Easter wreaths to hang up in their homes. It was a great way to start our Easter celebrations!

This week in RJKH

This week, RJKH have become experts at some tricky Maths concepts. Learning from the jumping frog, we've been subtracting by small and big steps to 'friendly numbers'. We enjoyed Maths in the sunshine and have got more confident at this over the last few days.

We also enjoyed a lovely R.E. lesson based around Luke 6 v 31 earlier - the verse says "Treat other people as you want them to treat you." What a great thought as we start the weekend and build up to Easter.

Art Club

Year 6 art club have been creating fabulous abstract paintings. The artists first planned their designs and then transferred them on to canvas. After that, they then painted the designs using acrylic paint. Finally, some of the artists made their own beads out of fimo clay and added them to their designs for a 3D effect.

Science Exhibition Report

A few weeks ago, we hosted an incredible science fair where every child was encouraged to get involved and showcase experiments and demonstrate their scientific knowledge. All the children, from nursery to Year 6 were asked to research, design, investigate and create a science project at home that would reflect their interests and enthusiasm for science and we were inundated with the most amazing, creative and hugely inspiring entries.

Each class visited the fair throughout the day where they were able to view and interact with all the amazing projects on display and learn about all the incredible science that had been going on during the week. To mention just a few, we had a very impressive and fully interactive water filtration system, a full scientific investigation into how the size of a meteor affects the size of a crater, a solar oven, 3D models of adapted leaf cells, bouncy eggs, electrical circuits powered by vegetables, thermochromic slime and many explosive volcanoes!

The science fair was a real celebration of science, all the children (and the teachers too) thoroughly enjoyed being able to explore all the wonderful projects on display and it was an incredibly inspiring event for all the pupils.

Today the winners from the Science Selfie and Science Fair Competition were announced in assembly. Thank you to all the pupils and families who got involved with the science week competitions and for making another SRH Science Fair such a huge success!

Spring is in the air...

Spring is in the air... Congratulations to the CRMBr family for today's share session. It was a fantastic turn out and the children loved working with their parents.

We have been learning about the symbols of Easter and we managed to create a fabulous array of spring flowers. The daffodils will be taken to church for our service next Friday. Thank you again to our families for their continued support.

Class DR Share Session

A fabulous afternoon with our families. We spent the afternoon decorating Easter eggs, making our very own ‘cress heads' and enjoying the delicious Easter nests we had prepared. Thank you to everyone who was able to make it.
