With it being ‘British Science Week,’ Class JT have been busy little scientists. The children have conducted experiments to see which is the best solution to clean coins as well as seeing which coins are magnetic. They have made foil boats and estimated how many coins might make a boat sink before finding out for themselves. One child from the class brought in some Coca cola and Mentos sweets for the science fair. She showed us what the reaction would be if they were mixed together. The class were amazed at what they saw. The scientist conducting the experiment explained to the class the reasons for the reaction. Finally, the children made a wormery on their visit to ‘Robin Wood’ and will be observing the changes over time.
