Sports Day - KS1 & Foundation

The children in Year 2, Year1, Reception & Nursery had a jolly hot afternoon at their Sports Day yesterday.

They did so well and the staff were really proud of how well all of the children took part.

Some photos here from Year 1, 2 & Nursery...

We have over 200 photos to check through before we can add them to the Sports Day gallery - so please check back next week to see the photos then. https://www.hitchamsframlingham.org.uk/News/Galleries/?SSID=13105&password=#GalleryListHolder

FOREST SCHOOL- Class LC

It was a very hot morning at Robin Wood but we were lucky to have the cool shade of the trees. The children enjoyed doing some Hapa-zome printing this week, they placed  leaves and petals between fabric and then bashed them with a hammer creating some beautiful patterns.

Banham Zoo Year 5 Trip

The Year 5 children had a fabulous time in the sun at Banham Zoo on Friday.
They enjoyed walking, and going on the train, around the zoo. As an extra treat the children also got to attend a discovery session where they got a hands on experience with a corn snake and other animal artefacts!
Thank you to all the adults who helped us come together to enjoy such a wonderful day out!

A few images here - more on the school website gallery.

FOREST SCHOOL - CLASS LC

Class LC had a very busy first morning at Robin Wood. After recapping the Golden Rules the children went on a scavenger hunt using their senses. They found different things; something beautiful, something that could make music, something prickly, something a creature may eat and a smell they liked. The rest of the morning was spent enjoying the mud kitchen, bug hunting, den building, digging, relaxing in the hammocks, making bumble bees from Alder cones and doing observational drawings of wild flowers. Some of the children made a chocolate cafe, selling all things chocolate! Another group explored the guttering, where there was some great problem solving skills shown, making channels for the water to travel down. A fantastic fairy world was built too. We finished the morning with a well earned hot chocolate and a game of Eagle Eyes

Platinum Jubilee Stamp

During the week of the school's jubilee celebrations, all of the children from nursery to Year 6 designed a commemorative stamp.

These stamps have all been collated together by Miss Turner to form a whole school collaborative piece of art.

We think you’ll agree the children’s art work is outstanding and the results form a fitting tribute to the Queen and her 70 years of service to our country.
