Yesterday we had a visit from the 'Working Space Theatre'. Two actors put on a brilliant performance of Charles Dickens: A Christmas Carol. Three of our year 6 children also joined in as some of the child parts.Although Christmas is some way off yet. This was a great introduction to our Key Stage 2 Victorians topic for this half term.
The play gave us all a feel for Victorian costume, working practices and family life. It also reminded us of the timeless message about greed and selfishness.
Next week we are going up to Thomas Mills High School to watch another Dickens play: Oliver Twist.
