KS2 SATS RESULTS
I am proud to report our KS2 SATs results:
KS2 English Maths
Level 4 and above 95% 98%
Level 5 40% 65%
I think that you will agree with me that congratulations are due to all the children concerned, and of course, to the teachers too.
The end of year reports about your children will be out shortly - Year 6 on 9 July and Year 1 to Year 5 on 16 July. There are no reports for Foundation children as they are having parent consultations.
The reports are confidential and are personally addressed to you as parents.
We would ask that you ask your children not to open the reports before they get home.
REMINDER LEAVERS’ SERVICE – TUESDAY 20 JULY 1.30pm
A reminder that the Leavers’ Service will be held at St Michael’s Church on Tuesday 20 July at 1.30pm. Parents are warmly welcomed to this event. Only pupils in classes DB/GM, RV, NS/JB and GH will attend this service and will be joined by younger siblings of Year 6 children who are at present in other classes.
SCHOOL LIBRARY BOOK AMNESTY
Thank you to those who handed in school library books in the Book Amnesty, however we are still short of a large number of books that we should have. Please can we ask that families do another search at home or in bags for any more books and please hand them in at the school office by Friday 16 July.
FLORA COOKING WITH SCHOOLS VOUCHERS – REWARDS ORDER
Thank you to all those who registered the tokens for this scheme on line - we collected 80 tokens and have ordered whisks and cookie cutters.
SIZE OF SCHOOL BAGS
If you are buying a new school bag for September please could I remind you of the limited space we have on the pegs and ask that you consider buying a small bag – drawstring/triangular bags are the best.
Don’t forget that the parent notice-board at the top of the Nursery stairs contains lots of useful information for families to look at.
