Whole School Letter (7)

NON PUPIL DAY REMINDER – Friday 8 October
Please can we remind parents that there is no school this Friday. Any payments previously made for school lunch for this day will be carried forward to the following week.

CANOPY UPDATE
We are pleased to advise you that the back entrance is now ok to use, therefore unless you need to speak to the office team you should not use the main office entrance to bring the children into school. The new canopy will be completed during half term.

HARVEST FESTIVAL COLLECTION THANKS
We are pleased to advise that £113 was collected at Thursday’s Harvest Festival and will go to the Soup Kitchen at Ipswich. Thank you also to those who brought in harvest gifts which will be passed onto West Villa, the homeless family unit in Ipswich.

WHOLE SCHOOL LETTERS
We are trialling sending whole school letters home only on a Monday. Don’t forget if you would rather save paper, you can get your letters by email – please contact the school office admin@hitchams.suffolk.sch.uk

USEFUL LEARNING WEBSITE FOR FAMILIESThe Hamilton Trust provide a useful website with information offering help with reading, writing, English, maths and computers for children ages 3 to 11, do take a look: http://http://www.hamiltonathome.org.uk/

PARENT SUPPORT VOLUNTEERS SERVICE
This service is looking for volunteers in this area. There is a poster with further details on the parent notice-board (at the top of the stairs above Nursery).

CAR PARK
Please can we remind parents that the school car park is only for staff or for those with special permission. When collecting from clubs after 4pm you may use the back playground, but please keep the space nearest the playground in the car park free to enable easier access in and out of the playground. Thank you.

FAMILY GAMES NIGHT
The Friends are delighted to advise that they raised £333 at the Beetle Drive and Bingo night last month.

END OF HALF-TERM CAKE STALL – Friday 22 October
The Friends will be running a cake stall on 22 October after school, with baking from classes LC and JC. Do remember to bring some pocket money to buy a treat.

CHARITY CLOTHES BAG COLLECTION – Tuesday 2 November
Prior warning that there will be a clothes, shoes, belts, bags and bed linen collection on Tuesday 2 November, so if you are having a clear out during half term please do save the items for this. Collection bags will be handed out before half-term.
