LEAVERS’ SERVICE – Thursday 19 July 1.30pm
The Leavers’ Service will be held at St Michael’s Church this Thursday at 1.30pm.  Year 6 parents are warmly welcomed to this event.  Pupils in classes DB, GA/JB, NS and EM will attend with any younger siblings of Year 6 children who are in other classes.

YEAR 6 LEAVERS’ DONATIONS
We would like to thank the parents of Year 6 leavers who have kindly donated books for the school or class libraries.  Bookplates have been placed in all the new books and they will be on display outside the hall until the end of the week.

FRIENDS END OF TERM CAKE STALL – Friday 20 July 3pm
Classes CH & KM will be baking for this cake stall on Friday in the Playground.  Please remember to bring in some pocket money to buy an end of term sweet treat!

PARENT DONATIONS
As Mrs Reeve retires from her Teaching Assistant post after 31 years we are pleased to let parents know that the money contributed to ‘Thank’ her for her work in the class with the children has been put towards some gift vouchers which will be presented to her in Friday’s assembly.
We are also delighted to let parents know that the money they contributed to Mrs Stephenson’s collection as she leaves the Nursery, has also been used to buy her gift vouchers.

HOUSE WRITING COMPETITION
This year’s KS2 writing competition, not surprisingly, had an Olympic theme.  Pupils were asked to imagine that they were Olympic athletes who were about to complete at this year’s London Games.  They then had to write two diary entries one before and one after their event.
The overall standard of writing was very high with the House cup being won by Howard, who just pipped Bulstrode.  Mills came 3rd with Hitcham’s 4th.
The overall winners were: Year 6 Zoe Hardy; Year 5 Keisha Hilaire; Year 4 Lily Constanti; Year 3 Mabel Hill.    To read some of the fabulous work produced by our pupils, have a look at the notice-board at the top of the Nursery stairs, or go to the school Blog.

FRAMLINGHAM 2012 OLYMPIC FLAG PARADE & LIVE OPENING CEREMONYOn Friday 27 July Framlingham will witness a spectacular event – 200 flag-bearers will assemble at Framlingham College at 5.30pm, then at 6.30pm two Official Olympic Torch Bearers with their 2012 torches will lead the parade of Olympic Flags through the town to Market Hill, where a giant TV will screen the Opening Ceremony at 20:12h (8.12pm).
Anyone can carry a flag – but to do so you need to make a donation of £2.50 and complete a card to be dropped in to Bulstrode’s.
Bring friends, family, chairs, rugs to party, picnic and watch the parade and Opening Ceremony on Market Hill.  There will be a children’s entertainer, BBQ, Hog Roast, Jacket Potatoes, Paella, Strawberries & Cream, Ice Cream & Popcorn.  The event finishes with fireworks.
The Framlingham 2012 T Shirts (designed by one of our pupils) are still on sale at Bulstrode’s.
