APPOINTMENT OF NEW PARENT GOVERNOR
I am delighted to announce that Mrs Helen Evans has been appointed, unopposed, as the new Parent Governor. Mrs Evans has a daughter in Year 2, and also has 2 older children who have been at this school and are now at the High School. You can find out more about the role of the Governors in the new bi-annual Governor Newsletter that is being sent home today. In addition, Mr Mulrenan has been voted in as the Support Staff Governor. On behalf of the Governors, I would like to welcome them both.

SWAP TO LUNCHES NEXT WEEK
Due to there being no school next Friday, we will be serving Thursday’s menu (Roast) on Wednesday and then Friday’s menu (Fish and Chips) will be served on Thursday next week.
Next Thursday, 25 October, photos of all individual children and family groups will be taken. The children will be photographed in their school sweatshirts.
If you wish to bring pre-school children into school to join your family group photo, please come to the hall at 8.30am with your children.
PREMIER SPORTS
We are trialling a new way of providing sporting activities within the school curriculum, and have contracted Premier Sports who provide this service for a number of our pyramid schools. They provide experienced, trained coaches who will be taking PE lessons 1 day a week between now and Christmas. This will affect classes KV, DB, LC and PLDD on Fridays.
As a way to encourage feedback from parents and volunteers we have some ‘Wow!’ cards at the school office which we would like to ask any parents, visitors or volunteers to fill in when they see or hear something at school that they are impressed by.
They can be completed anonymously and placed in the box in the reception area.
Thank you.
