NEW PARENT GOVERNOR APPOINTMENT
We are delighted to let parents know that we have appointed Mrs Rebecca Jennings, mother of Genevieve Jennings, as the new parent Governor.  Her term of office starts on 1st May.
We would also like to take this opportunity to offer our grateful thanks to Mrs Catherine Hill, who has served as a Parent Governor for the last 4 years for all her hard work and dedication to the work of the Governing Body in support of the school.

MORE STAFF NEWS
We would like to let parents and children know that, sadly, Mrs Spencer will be leaving us in July to move to a teaching post at Kelsale Primary School in September.  All the staff are really sorry to lose her from our team, but we all wish her every success in her new role.
We are currently advertising for a teaching position to start in September.

YEAR 3/4 CLUBS
Due to an oversight the Clubs List still mentions Wednesday lunchtime Football Club, which is not running this term.
CRICKET CLUB ON THURSDAY
Those children who would like a school dinner can go into the hall first to have their lunch, after which a member of staff will escort them all up to the field.  Those who have a packed lunch can go straight to the field with a member of staff to eat their picnic there before they start the cricket.

ELECTION FEVER HITS S.R.H. - Thursday 7 May
On Thursday it won`t be just adults who`ll be turning out to vote. K.S.2. children will be holding their own election where they will be casting a vote for one of the following:
The Environmental Party, The Animal Rights Party, The Sport For All Party and The Healthy Living Party.
Each party has an elected leader and deputy and on Thursday afternoon they will be presenting their final speeches to K.S.2, hoping to win over those “floating voters!”
All children in K.S.2 have enjoyed learning about the electoral process and now have a greater understanding of the essential British value of democracy.
For election results please see the school blog on Thursday afternoon.

SATS & INTERNAL TESTING – from 11 to 21 May
We would like to advise you that children from Year 1 – 6 will undergo SATs tests and internal tests during next week and into the week after.
Please can we ask that parents exit the school buildings and grounds as soon as possible after the children come in in the morning. Thank you.
LAST MINUTE REMINDER FOR CHILDREN DOING SATs

END OF TERM LUNCH – Thursday 21 May – CENSUS DAY
On the last day of term the kitchen are cooking a Roast Chicken dinner.

All survey results are confidential and only used for NHS data.  Thank you
