On Thursday afternoon the school participated in the finals of the HSSSP Boys Football competition at Hartismere School, Eye. The competition featured teams from Debenham, Framlingham, St Botolph’s and Wickham Market. Framlingham played tournament favourites St Botolph’s first and after a long and challenging tactical tussle St Botolph’s ran out deserved winners 2-0. Framlingham then played Debenham in a third-place play-off match whilst St Botolph’s played Wickham Market to determine who would be crowned tournament champions 2016. After a closely fought pitch battle Framlingham scored the only goal of the game with seconds remaining resulting in a well-earned 1-0 victory. St Botolph’s put in another skillful display against Wickham Market achieving a 2-1 victory and therefore finishing deserved district champions. Thanks to all Framlingham pupils for their positive attitudes and excellent conducts throughout the event and also to all school staff, parents and volunteers for supporting the team so well at this competition.
