Class LC had a very busy first morning at Robin Wood. After recapping the Golden Rules the children went on a scavenger hunt using their senses. They found different things; something beautiful, something that could make music, something prickly, something a creature may eat and a smell they liked. The rest of the morning was spent enjoying the mud kitchen, bug hunting, den building, digging, relaxing in the hammocks, making bumble bees from Alder cones and doing observational drawings of wild flowers. Some of the children made a chocolate cafe, selling all things chocolate! Another group explored the guttering, where there was some great problem solving skills shown, making channels for the water to travel down. A fantastic fairy world was built too. We finished the morning with a well earned hot chocolate and a game of Eagle Eyes.
