As part of the Year 6 transition programme, pupils took part in an informative and engaging afternoon at Crucial Crew, learning a range of important life skills to help keep themselves safe. Throughout the event, the children explored fire safety with Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service, including how to identify potential fire hazards, while Brave Futures led thoughtful discussions about personal boundaries and consent. Pupils also gained valuable first aid knowledge from the East Anglian Air Ambulance, learned about water safety and how to call for help from the RNLI, and discussed the risks of addiction with Foundations: Young People's Drug and Alcohol Service. Other workshops highlighted the dangers of electricity in the community, the importance of cherishing and protecting Suffolk's natural habitats with Wildlife Wise, and ways to stay safe online with Suffolk Police. The afternoon provided our children with practical knowledge, confidence and awareness, helping them to make safe and responsible choices as they prepare for the next stage of their education.
