We would expect all parents
to have made an appointment to see the teacher.

parent Governor (either Mrs Hill or Mr Owen).
Please contact the school office who will book you an appointment time.

Last Tuesday’s Victorian
Day was a resounding success as staff and children entered into the spirit of
the day by dressing and behaving appropriately (with children remaining in
silence – for most of the day!- while a few raised voices were heard from
members of staff, especially Mr Vaughan!).
Evident throughout the day
though was the learning that was taking place.
Here are a selection of
quotes from the children where they show quite clearly how much they gained
from the day:
“The best part was Arithmetic because I learnt all the
units of money and
measures they used back then”
“The day was brilliant!”
“The best part was sewing because we got to make a
bookmark”
“ I enjoyed the whole day
because it was fun”
“Victorian children were scared of their teacher – I’m
glad I didn’t go to a Victorian school!”
“We got to ring the hand
bell”
“The best part was drill because we learnt how to
march”
“I enjoyed Geography
because we learnt which countries were in the British Empire”
DON’T FORGET…
