CHILDREN IN NEED – Friday 15 November
Key
Stage 1 & Foundation children are invited to bring in a teddy bear to
school for Children in Need, to help them feel part of the day. No donation is requested.
ONLINE DINNER PAYMENTS ARE PROVING SUCCESSFUL
We
now have a good proportion of parents paying on-line for school dinners. If you wish to give it a try please do so.
You can access the SCC payment site via the link on the front page of our
website http://www.roberthitchams.ik.org/
In
order for your payments to register on our system on a Monday when we reconcile
the dinner money, you will need to make the online payment on a Friday.
Don’t worry if you have made payments and then your
child has decided not to have a hot dinner, or were off sick, as all payments
will just carry forward.

CHRISTMAS SHOEBOX APPEAL –
THANK YOU
Thank you to everyone who
filled a shoebox for the Samaritans Purse appeal – you created
52 wonderfully wrapped
parcels, which is fantastic.
They will bring Christmas happiness to 52 children who otherwise would
not have received a gift.
The Friends would like to
thank classes DB & PASB for their baking at the end of half term which
raised £64. The Film Night on Friday was a great success raising a £314 and the
Quiz last month raised £254. All proceeds go to the Friends for items/projects
for the school.
SIAMS REPORT
We are delighted to receive a very positive report following
the Church Schools (SIAMS) inspection last month. The inspector describes SRH
as a nurturing and supporting environment where “... Attendance and behaviour
are excellent and pupils are confident independent learners.” The full report
can be found on the school website homepage near the top.
BACK PLAYGROUND DAMAGE
Although
the cracks in the back playground have been repaired (at a large cost) we have
been advised that cars should not park or drive on this tarmac, else the damage
will just happen again. So please can we
ask that parents DO NOT take cars on this playground.
