Newsletter 37

Welcome back to the last half term of the school year. 
We are looking forward to a number of events this term including
the Summer Outings, Sports Day and the Year 6 Camp and
the Year 6 production of Aladdin at Framlingham College.

DADS COMING TO READ BEFORE LUNCH – Tues 10 to Thurs 12 June
On the day dads should sign in at the hall foyer at 11:40am where their children will meet them, there will be a number of allocated areas around the school where dads will be reading with their children, we have some Year 4 children who will help direct dads.
At 12.00pm when the bell rings dads and children should return to the hall for lunch.
DADS COMING TO LUNCH ONLY – Tues 10 to Thurs 12 June
On the day dads should sign in at the hall foyer where their children will come at 12.00pm.
We have 40 dads booked each day, so it will take a while to be served.
We would ask that dads do not stay after they have eaten lunch; at this time the children will go to the playground and we ask that you sign out as you leave.  Thank you.
We would also welcome your feedback on the forms outside the hall when you have finished. 

NOTE: THERE WILL BE NO LUNCH TIME CLUBS DURING ‘DADS TO LUNCH DAYS’ 10-12 JUNE

YEAR 2 SWIMMING – Wednesday 4 & 11 June
Year 2s should remember their Swimming kit on this Wednesday and next for their sessions at Framlingham College.

VOLUNTEER ‘THANK YOU’ TEA – Thursday 5 June
Volunteers should sign in at the hall for the Thank You Tea being run by the Year 6s on Thursday. 
Please come along between 1.40-1.45pm to sign in.

DINNER MONEY COST FOR SUMMER 2nd HALF TERM
*******Dinner money should be paid on Mondays******
Half term payments are due by the first Monday after each half term.
The cost for lunch every day 3 June – 23 July = 37 day
But this will be different by class because of outings & camp:
CH/KM £81.40    DB/PASB = £68.20    Other Classes = £79.20      
Don’t forget you can pay for the whole term for 1/2/3 or 4 days per week too.

        5 days  £11.00      4 days  £8.80     3 days  £6.60     2 days  £4.40                1 day  £2.20
Cheques should be made payable to Suffolk County Council (SCC)
with your child’s name and class WRITTEN ON THE BACK please.
DINNER MONEY MUST BE HANDED TO THE TEACHER IN AN ENVELOPE THAT STATES:       Child’s Name + Child’s Class + which days dinner money is for.
DEADLINE FOR HALF-TERM PAYMENT IS MONDAY 9 JUNE.

CAKE STALL – CLASSES LC & CA
Thank you to these 2 classes for their baking at end of half term. There were some wonderful creations and their cake stall raised £160.

YEAR 6 MEET HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS – Friday 6 June
This Friday Mr Jeffreys (Head of Year 7) and some of the form tutors from Thomas Mills High School will be coming in to meet the year 6 pupils individually in preparation for the move to High School in September.

Sainsbury’s Active Kids vouchers
This scheme is now finished at Sainsbury’s, so please hand any vouchers you may still have into office – we are collecting them until Friday 13 June.

CAMP MEETING FOR YEAR 6 PARENTS – Tuesday 10 June
Just a reminder that all parents of the Year 6 children going to camp should come along to an important meeting with Mr Brook on Tuesday 10 June in the school hall at 6pm.
The payment deadline for camp is Friday 13 June.

HITCHAM’S HUNDREDS SUCCESS
Thank you very much to everyone who took part in the fundraising day at the end of term. 
It was an amazing success with the children really getting into the swing of things – it was fantastic how many items the children thought of to do on the day. 
Do take a look at the BLOG for photos and reports that will be put on over this week.
Everyone has worked very hard to get sponsorship.
For those who haven’t already handed in their money, please can you collect the money from your sponsors and pay it into the office with the form in a well-sealed envelope with your child’s name & class on.
Please get it to us by Friday 13 June.
