This week in Nursery we have been looking at different Autumn vegetables and thinking about Harvest. We admired our big pumpkin in our Reflective area and talked about the different patterns and colours we could see, and we also shared the book Pumpkin Soup. The children spent some time investigating the different vegetables, using words to describe what they could see and feel, and then tried to guess what colour they might be inside. Mrs Eyles helped the children by cutting the vegetables open to see what was inside and they discovered the seeds. They also spent some time looking at lots of different types of beans and talked about planting the seeds to grow a new pumpkin or bean plant.We are looking forward to celebrating our Harvest Festival together on Friday!
