Remembrance

Our school held our Remembrance service on the front playground today, with the House captains bearing the House flags.

Mrs Cann spoke to the children about the meaning of Remembrance, and why it is important to think about those brave people who keep us safe in times of war, and remember their courage and sacrifices.

We were pleased to welcome to our service, the School Governors who were here for a meeting.  Thanks must go to our wonderful trumpet player, who timed his delivery of the 'First Post' perfectly, we thank the High School for allowing him to come down to support our service.

Dear God

Today we remember those who gave their lives so that we could live in peace.

Thank you for theor courage and sacrifice.

Help us to be peacemakers in our school, our homes and our world.

May we always choose kindness and care for one another.

We pray for peace in every country and for all who still suffer because of war.

In Jesus' name,

Amen
