Last week Year 5 and 6 children took part in a netball tournament at Framlingham Prep School. All the children played brilliantly in all of their matches. Three teams represented our school with all teams placing towards the top of their group and one particular team finishing 2nd. All the children showed great teamwork, sportsmanship and were proud to represent our school. Well done SRH children.

UKS2 Hockey Success
Yesterday, SRH took a group of Year 5 and 6s to a hockey tournament in Harleston. Across the three teams they played a series of matches of Quick Sticks style hockey - 4 on a team with no goalkeepers on small pitches.
All three teams won the majority of their 8 matches played in their respective groups with one team winning all of their games. Having won their league, they then went on to play a final match which they drew to maintain their unbeaten status. The children showed great skill and determination in all of their matches.
As always, the children who participated were a credit to our school; playing the matches fairly, following the decisions of the referees and showing respect to their opponents regardless of the result. Well done to all those involved with another afternoon of sporting success for SRH students.

Each class performed a spring themed poem beautifully, with admirable confidence, clarity and obvious enjoyment.
Well done to our winners, Class MB. We are very proud of you all!

- Bulstrode > Waterloo
- Howard > Super Trouper
- Hitcham > I Have a Dream / Medley version
- Mills > Money, Money, Money
A Concert Masterclass at St Michael’s.
Year 5 were treated to a world-class afternoon at St Michael’s Church for a stunning concert by pianist Douglas Tang and violinist Lasma Taimina. The ambient setting of the church was the perfect backdrop for such an exquisite performance. It was a true privilege for our students to experience music of this calibre first-hand. A huge thank you to the organizers for arranging such a memorable visit!

From Wonka to Wormwood: Bravo to Our Brilliant Hosts!
Upper Key Stage 2 have recently enjoyed the fantastic opportunity to attend two exceptional and truly inspirational local theatre productions. We were invited to watch Thomas Mills High School’s wonderful take on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and this week we visited Framlingham College for their impressive show of Matilda. The children really enjoyed both performances and were inspired by the talent and dedication shown by the pupils and staff at each school, and we are very grateful for such warm invitations and memorable experiences.

We are Rockin' it!
These Bassistry drum & bass workshops have been funded through the wonderful support that parents have given to the Friends fundraising efforts this year - so thank you to all involved.
Uncovering Egypt, One Clue at a Time!
Year 5 have begun an exciting new topic all about the Egyptians for the rest of this term. To spark their curiosity, we started with a picture quiz where the children worked in teams to discuss a range of mysterious images. They were encouraged to think carefully and answer questions such as What is it? What is it for? How old might it be? Working together, they used the clues to uncover our new topic and showed great enthusiasm as they pieced everything together.
Visit from Author and Illustrator, Kate Rolfe
On Tuesday, the children were incredibly lucky to welcome author and illustrator Kate Rolfe, who came to share her beautiful new book, Owl and Moon. She read the story aloud and talked about the personal inspiration behind it, explaining that the relationship between the characters was influenced by her own bond with her mum.

Chicks at SRH
What a busy few days we've had. SRH have welcomed nine beautiful chicks. The children across the school have been fortunate enough to watch the chicks hatch and observe them as they have dried out and fluffed up. They have been mesmerised ever since. As scientists, it has been the perfect opportunity to discuss life cycles, understand how to take care of animals and what they need to thrive.
