Year 5 and 6 were absolutely thrilled to welcome the wonderfully creative author Chrissie Sains into school for an inspiring visit! Known for her jam-tastic Alien in the Jam Factory series and her exciting new adventure series, Beastopia, Chrissie shared what it’s really like to be an author and how stories begin with just a tiny spark of imagination. During her engaging workshop, the children explored the powerful idea of asking “What if…?” and used it to invent their own imaginative problems before thinking carefully about how they might be solved in a story. Chrissie encouraged everyone to notice the extraordinary in the everyday, reminding us, “I look at weird and wonderful things in the world and be inspired.” What a fantastic experience that has truly sparked our young writers’ imaginations!
