As year 6 are off on their exciting school trip to London next week, they have been writing formal letters to our MP.
They’ve been looking at how to structure their letters, using appropriate language and features. They chose the topic they wanted to write about and drafted their work. They class wrote about a range of issues which were important to them, such as Climate Change, cost of living, etc.
We will be taking our letters to the Houses of Parliament next week and will keep our fingers crossed for responses!
The Candidate will demonstrate:
You should be passionate about children’s learning, have high expectations of yourself and your pupils, and be supportive of the Christian ethos of the school.

As a memorable starter for our new and exciting topic, Reception and Key Stage 1 spent some time cloud spotting and making comparisons between day time and night time skies. Of course, we had to have a cup of hot chocolate to get us in the night time mood whilst we were "star gazing"!
The theme for art club last term was abstract art. The talented children in Year 3 created beautiful wall hangings. First, they experimented with designs and then transferred their designs on to material. Next, they painted their designs using bright, bold colours.
Once the designs were complete some of the children highlighted the shapes with black outlines. Finally, each child handmade beads to secure their wall hanging on to a rod. I think you will agree that they have produced some fantastic eye-catching designs.
We look forward to seeing the next group of children and their creations this half term. Art club with the first group of year 4’s will start on Thursday in Miss Turner's classroom. Watch this space!
We are looking to recruit a Midday Supervisor to join our school team for 5 days a week, with hours of work from 11.50am - 1.25pm, paid at £11.50 per hour (min).
We are also happy to recruit for fewer days each week or for a relief MDSA position.

Happy New Year to all our families!
We look forward to welcoming everyone back tomorrow for the Spring term.
Gosh! What a festive time we had in the hall for Christmas lunch today!
The children in KS1 and Reception had made some wonderful crowns to wear.
Our super efficient Year 6 House Captains & Vice Captains were busy running around the hall helping with the serving of meals to the children, Governors and staff. They did a great job. Many of the school staff were active helping the MDSAs with all the lunchtime tasks too.
Almost 275 meals were served by Mrs Aldred and her team - Thank you to the kitchen team for a delicious lunch! You deserve a rest now!
Sing Praise have had a busy few weeks.
They have sung at an Advent service at St Michael’s with choristers from St Mary le Tower, Ipswich. They entertained the residents at Mills Meadow care home and at sang at Framlingham College Chapel with the Phoenix Singers.
The children have sung beautifully at all three events.
Our Mini Music party was held in the Ark today after our music session.
We sang, danced and played instruments and shared some delicious snacks! We restart on a Tuesday morning next term at 8.45am.
Our Year 3 and Year 4 children led our annual Carol Service yesterday at St Michael's Church.
It was lovely to see so many parents join us for this seasonal celebration, alongside all the Year 5 and 6 children.
We thank Rev Mary Lamb for joining us and for delivering the blessing.
