As part of our commitment to reducing waste within the Our School, Our World initiative, we will be introducing Waste-Free Wednesdays.
On Wednesdays, we encourage
children to bring packed lunches in reusable lunch boxes and containers and to
avoid single-use plastics where possible. By reducing unnecessary packaging and
choosing recyclable or reusable options, we can work together to cut down on
waste and help protect our environment. Of course, it doesn’t have to be just
Wednesdays but it would be a good starting point!
Some ideas include:
- Reusable lunch boxes instead of disposable
bags
- Refillable drinks bottles
- Reusable snack containers
- Avoiding individually wrapped items where
possible
Small
changes can make a big difference, and we appreciate your support in helping
our children become environmentally responsible citizens.
