ELECTION OF PARENT GOVERNOR
Results of the voting were as follows Mrs Sharon Lucas 55 votes; Mrs Catherine Hill 98 votes
Mrs Hill has been duly elected to the post of Parent Governor. I am sure you will all join Revd Graham Owen, our Chair of Governors, myself, all staff and governors in welcoming Mrs Hill to our Governing Body, and thanking Mrs Lucas for standing. Mrs Hill’s term of office takes effect from 1 May 2011 and will last for four years. We would like to thank Mrs Whiteley for all her hard work as Parent Governor over the last 4 years.

SHARE SESSION REMINDER – CLASS KT
Class KT’s Share Session is this Tuesday; parents should arrive at 1.20pm to sign-in outside the office.

EASTER ASSEMBLIES
Due to the timing of Easter this year, Revd Owen has arranged to come to school to take 2 pupil only extended Assemblies on an Easter theme, instead of a whole school service at the church.

CAKE STALL – Friday 8 April
This Friday classes NSJB & GH will be providing the cakes and Easter treats for the Friends’ cake stall on the playground after school. Please remember to bring some pocket money.

SCHOOL DISCO
The Friends would like to thank all the parents who stayed to help supervise Friday’s disco. A profit of approximately £450 was made.

NEW MENUS
We are distributing copies of the new SCC catering menus for April – October 2011 today. Please note these now are on a 4 week rota, which gives more variation throughout the term.

IMPORTANT - SCHOOL SITE SECURITY REMINDER
In order to ensure the safety of the pupils on site we must ensure that all gates to the site and all doors to the buildings are closed between 8.50 – 3.00pm. If you are still on the premises after 8.50am please can we ask that you:
a) Ensure the doors are securely pulled-to behind you as you leave;
b) Volunteer helpers please ensure doors are closed behind you as you move around the school;
c) Ensure that the gates are securely closed after you as you leave;
d) That you do not hold the door open for visitors coming into the main school entrance. All visitors should ‘buzz’ to speak to the school office so we are aware who we are letting into the building

ROYAL WEDDING CELEBRATIONS – Thursday 28 April
There will be an opportunity for your child to have their face painted with a small Union Jack flag on their cheek when have the ‘Street Party’ on Thursday 28 April.
If you DO NOT GIVE PERMISSION for this, please let us know in writing by 8 April.

ROYAL WEDDING LUNCH – Thursday 28 April
SCC Catering are planning a special Royal themed lunch on this day; the menu is Chicken Royale or William & Catherine Wheel, Golden potatoes, 24 ‘carat’ batons, Princess and the Peas, Crown Jewels Salad, followed by Celebration Ice Cream with a love heart biscuit.
In addition, the menu for Wednesday 27 April will be the roast dinner (from the Thursday).

FRAMLINGHAM BUSINESS ASSOCIATION ROYAL WEDDING DAY – Friday 29 April
On Friday 29 April there will be a Royal Wedding Reception Event on the Market Hill from 10am.
There will be 2 competitions the children can enter – Best made Crown and Best Prince/Princess fancy dress.

PARENTING COURSES
There are a number or parenting courses in the area between April and June. We have put the list with contact numbers on the parents notice-board (at the top of the stairs by the Nursery), so please take a look if you are interested.

END OF TERM - Friday 8 April
End of term is this Friday, 8 April. The children return to school on Wednesday 27 April. Remember Friday 29 April and Monday 2 May are public holidays and there will be no school these days.
