School Newsletter 15

REMINDER CLASS KT SHARE SESSIONS
Please can we remind you that Class KT have their share session Thursday 8 December.

CHRISTMAS PARTIES – Monday 12 December
Class parties will be held next Monday afternoon; Key Stage 2 children are to come to school in their party clothes. Key Stage 1 and Reception children should come to school in their uniform and bring their party clothes in to change into after lunch. Please ensure that party clothes and footwear are practical for normal morning lessons and outside playtimes.
Please note: Nursery Christmas party will be held on the last day of term in the morning.

Please pay for Christmas lunch on Monday 12 December
The cost for the week is £11.40, the day £3.00, or an additional 90p is required if you have paid for the whole term but not for the Christmas lunch yet.
*******Please note there is NO Nursery Lunch club on this day*********

CHRISTMAS CAROL SERVICE – Thursday 15 December 1.30pm
Our Carol Service will take place at St Michael’s Church on 15 December. Children in classes PLDD, RV & KT will be leading in this service. Parents of these classes are warmly invited to attend. We would ask that you use the seats at either side of the church or at the back.
A charity collection will be made at the end of the service.

YOUNG ART EAST ANGLIA COMPETITION & EXHIBITION REMINDER
Art work should be on the theme of “Fun & Games”, using any medium except bulky collage, no larger than A3 size and must not be mounted or laminated. The entry must be accompanied by a minimum donation of £2.00 for Cancer Research UK, and the child’s name, year and school name must be printed clearly on the back.
Selected entries will be included in an exhibition at the Peter Pears Gallery in Aldeburgh from 9-11 March 2012. To have exhibited artwork returned it will need to be purchased at the Gallery. Please hand all entries in to our own school office by Friday 13 January. Enquiries by email to info@youngarteastanglia.co.uk

BOOK FAIR COMMISSION
Thank you to all those who purchased from the book fair last week, from your purchases the school has made commission of £187, which has directly purchased books for every class.

THE GIVING MACHINE
This website which, once you have registered, you can use to do internet shopping at many online stores gives a % of your purchase price directly to the Friends (which you need to select as your nominated charity). It does not cost you anything and the school benefits directly. Recent commission raised was £25, thank you. If you are interested please visit www.TheGivingMachine.co.uk.

CLUBS – LAST WEEK OF TERM
There will be no Tennis, Football, Reading club or Orchestra in the last week of term.
Funky pop street dance WILL be running on the last day of term.

CHANGE TO LUNCH MENU – Thursday 15 December
Due to Christmas lunch, Wednesdays’ normal menu will be moved to Thursday – Pizza, Potato Wedges, Baked Beans, Sweetcorn, & Sticky Toffee pudding.
