Under the blue Suffolk skies on a balmy mid-July day, Sir Robert Hitcham's CEVAP School celebrated the success of its sports day yesterday. Key
Stage 2 completed a close but well fought out sports day in the morning whilst Key Stage 1 enjoyed the pace of their races throughout the afternoon. Parents, grandparents, family and friends enjoyed both Key Stage 2 and Key
Stage 1 sports events and it was a great family atmosphere as the children ate their picnics with their respective families.
Well done to Bulstrode house for their sterling efforts to
win the overall day but congratulations to Hitchams, Mills and Howard whose
determination never failed in their attempts to compete on the day. The
staff were particularly thrilled with the great sportsmanship that all the
children showed to each other and to their peers throughout the day.
A truly successful and enjoyable day - so well organised by Mr Peck and Mrs Cockle, who set the field up with a team of volunteers the night before. It looked fabulous! Thank you to "The Friends" for their support on the day, manning stalls, sound systems, handing out much needed ice-pops and for those who helped dismantle gazebos and tidy up the field afterwards
Thank you to everyone - staff, family and friends for
their support throughout the day.
