This year the School Council decided that for the Charity Day they would support the RSPCA. They suggested that the children should come dressed as an animal or wear spots / stripes / animal prints, and bring in a donation of pet food or money.
The 175 tins/packets of pet food were laid out in the shape of a dog & cat on the playground, and the children raised over £207.
We have the local honorary chairperson and a member of staff from the RSPCA in Martlesham visiting the school for an assembly (next week) to tell the children all about the work of the RSPCA. All the food donations and monies raised will go to the RSPCA at Martlesham, which will go towards sponsoring a dog kennel/cat pod.
