Year 5 started their new topic on Allotments by taking a
trip to the allotments near the school.
We were greeted by John Byer who shared
some of his experiences of keeping an allotment. He talked about the plants he
grows, the hard work that’s involved and the enjoyment he gets from it. We were
then able to go off and explore the allotments and discover what plants were
growing and ask questions.
Thank you to John Byer for his time and sharing his
passion and enthusiasm which has rubbed off on Year 5.
