Today Mrs Cooper brought in a dab, a flat fish from the North Sea and a herring and some prawns for us to look at.
The children were able to spot the differences between the two fish as we looked closely at the eyes, scales, fins, tails, mouths and gills.
The prawns were cooked and so we talked about how their colour had changed and looked at their eyes, heads, tails and legs. They looked very different again to the fish.
Tomorrow we are going to be cooking tuna fishcakes so we can taste some fish too.
