CYM Year 6 Camp – Day 4 Update

Year 6 bounced into Day 4 in very good spirits, helped along by a breakfast that could only be described as enthusiastically received. A remarkable number of children managed multiple servings of toast, cereal, granola and yoghurt.

Each day at camp, the children are introduced to a new core value, exploring how it connects to their own lives. Today’s theme was 'Happiness', and each group was challenged to capture what happiness looks like using the iPads.

We shared the images as a cohort and talked about how happiness can be found in small moments, shared experiences, and the things that make us feel safe and joyful. They also took part in a tractor relay activity.

Later, the children completed their final carousel activities, giving their last burst of energy to the challenges they’ve been working through all week. It’s been brilliant to see how much their confidence has grown — quieter children stepping forward, energetic children learning to pace themselves, and everyone encouraging one another.

Camp continues to be a hugely positive experience. The grown‑ups are proud of how well Year 6 have embraced every part of it.
