OFFICE STAFF UPDATEWith the retirement of Mrs Pascoe there will be some changes in the office from September:
Mrs Hulley joins the team as Finance and Premises Manager and will be responsible for Finance, Buildings maintenance, Personnel and Governors.
Mrs Miller will be Office Manager, dealing mainly with Pupils, Parents, Office Administration, and Headteacher support.
Miss Simpson and Mrs Reeve will give their invaluable support to the school continuing in their current roles.

SCHOOL DRIVE AND STAFF CAR PARKWe are finding that some parents are driving up the school drive into the staff car park or onto the back playground to drop off their children in the morning, or to collect them after Nursery Lunch Club. Please note we cannot allow these areas to be used by parents as drop-off / collections zones, except for after school clubs. May we politely ask parents to use the car parks in Framlingham or to park safely where it will not be a nuisance to local residents.
We are aware of the difficulties that the loss of the crossing patrol on College Road has made for families, and understand your frustrations. We would like to advise you that we are expecting the SCC Road Safety team this Wednesday to survey the early morning problems on College Road and New Road to see the dangers and difficulties of walking to school and parking first hand.
We hope the outcome of this survey will enable us to get a crossing patrol back.

MRS ELPHICK IS VISITING – Monday 20 JuneMrs Elphick will be giving a presentation to the pupils on this day about her work and life in Liberia. In addition, we would like to invite parents to come
at 3.15-3.45pm to class DB where she will also give the talk and presentation to parents. Please do come along to hear all that she has been involved with since leaving us last Summer, she will be delighted to see you.

ORCHESTRA NOTICEMrs Fell has advised us that she is unable to continue with Orchestra, so we afraid that there will be no more Wednesday lunchtime Orchestra sessions.
We would like to thank Mrs Fell for all her work with the Orchestra over recent years.

GUITAR TUITION – Spaces AvailableFrom September there will be about 8 spaces for Guitar lessons (which occur on a Wednesday during school). If your child may be interested please collect a form from the office. Costs are £42 per term currently.

BAG2SCHOOL COLLECTIONThank you to everyone who contributed to the charity bag collection last week, we had 87 bags donated and we’ll let you know how much the Friends raise from this as soon as we can.

REMINDER CAKE STALL & FETE – Friday 17 June & Sunday 19 JuneMiss Samuels and Miss Mayhew have asked us to remind parents about the Cake Sale this Friday in the playground pavilion at the end of school (to raise funds for the family with the baby in Addenbrokes). They would really appreciate any cakes to sell, which may be brought to the office on Friday morning, thank you.
Please note - the school is NOT involved in this event – if you have any questions please speak to either of the two mums directly, thank you.
They are also holding a fete on Sunday 19 June at Kettleburgh, from 2pm - 4pm

NEWSPAPERS FOR SALE on Thursday 16 JuneAs part of a unit of work based on newspapers, classes RV and DB have produced a range of different newspapers. We are glad to announce that there is now an opportunity for classes GH and NSJB to purchase some of these papers. The cost will be 20p per paper and will be available to buy from Mr Vaughan’s room during morning break on Thursday 16 June. All money raised will be given to our nominated charity.

SUMMER FUN EVENINGDue to the uncertainty of the weather last Friday, the Friends made great efforts to go ahead with the event, setting up all the stalls and sports activities on the field, however the rain did come and they had to move everything back to the school to hold the event in the hall.
In spite of these difficulties the evening went very well, and was well supported by families.
At first count they believe to have made in the region of £1150, of which the Year 6 stalls raised £230, as agreed half of this (£115) will go to their chosen charity the RSPCA. A fantastic result all round.
The Friends would like to thank all the parents, staff and pupils who helped; your support really is invaluable. The year 6 pupils did a great job with all the games & side stalls.
