PARENT COUNCIL INFORMATION FOR PARENTS
Following the recent
Parent Council meeting they would like to raise to the following points
parents:
Coaches on College Road
Please exercise
caution near the coaches at the end of school. They do need to pull up
partially on the pavement to allow traffic to flow past, so please stand back
and give them space to manoeuvre and to
keep you safe.
No Hot Drinks in School
Could parents please
not bring in hot drinks to school (eg to Share Sessions/on playground) or to
Church for safety reasons.
Please use the Path
Please can parents
make sure children use the path onto school grounds from College Road and do
not cut through the flowerbed/garden.
We have
been asked by the local authority to share this with parents:
Public Health England (PHE) alert on bath safety and use
of bath seats. One in three deaths from accidental drowning in children aged 0-2 involve bath seats where the parent has left the child unattended for a few seconds to fetch something. A bath seat is a useful tool, but is not a safety device. If a baby or toddler is left unattended in a bath seat for even a few seconds they can wiggle or slip out or the bath seat could tip over and immerse the baby in water. Babies can drown in just a few centimetres of water, very quickly and with no noise or struggle. This means babies need constant supervision while in water of any description. Older siblings should never be given the responsibility of looking after younger siblings in the bath.
