Class LH and Class SC experienced what it is like to be an
archaeologist and how we can use evidence gathered to find out about the
past.
Carefully, everyone located and uncovered an artefact which was
then brushed and cleaned to reveal the finding in its full glory. These
were then recorded with the measurements, description and location of the
artefact using coordinates.
Some of the children thought that some were
earrings to start with but once everyone had found their artefact, we then
looked at the range of evidence available to us and decided they could be
necklaces once they were pieced together. We were able to reconstruct
some pots and necklaces which had been broken too.
