'Open the book' assembly told the miracle of Jesus meeting Peter the fisherman. We heard the story of how Peter the fisherman set sail overnight and caught nothing after hours and hours of trying to catch some fish.
Yet, after Jesus had spoken to him and told him to try again, he caught an abundance of fish. The fishermen were astonished by the miracle and understood it was a sign that the presence of God was around. This was the first step in understanding who Jesus was. Jesus called all the fishermen to leave everything and become his disciples as fishers of men.
Mark then shared with us a song "I will make you the fishers of men" which we all joined in with.
