Our Key Stage One activity area has a fabulous piece of artwork created by the KS1 classes and Mrs Helen Evans (who also did the courtyard artwork last year with KS2 children).
It is a little surreal in that an underwater scene is over our heads. The children made the sea, sand and all the fish and creatures. The paint is acrylic and for most of the children it was their first experience of using this material. The result is brilliant and co-ordinates perfectly with our seaside theme at the moment.
Our thanks go to Mark Gravelius and Spadge Hopkins who put the artwork up in a awkward and inaccesible place. Thanks mainly go to Helen Evans who coordinated all of the work.
